Jeff Foote (22, 2.12 meters), graduate of Cornell University, a force of nature under the basket and gifted with game smarts, has signed a three year contract.

Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv has signed Cornell University graduate Jeff Foote, 22, to a three year contract.

Foote, who is 2.12 meters (7 feet) tall, is a gifted player who is strong and physical in the paint, possesses excellent passing skills, particularly for a man of his height, and is a top-notch shot blocker.
Foote is a player who brings a lot of enthusiasm and intensity to the game, and was a player much admired by Cornell fans.
Foote played for Cornell (considered one of the top universities in the United States) for the last three years.

Foote was born in the state of New York and is the son of a former basketball player.
He began his basketball career at Spencer-VanEtten High School, where in his senior year he posted averages of 15 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 blocks per game.
In 2005 he began playing at St. Bonaventure University; a year and a half later he had moved to Cornell University.
Jeff adapted easily to his new team, finishing his first game with a double double, and averaging 7.9 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
In his second season at Cornell, he improved his stats to averages of 11.8 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, was selected Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year, and was ranked in the top ten in six different categories.

Last season, his third and final one with Cornell, was a record-breaking one for the university.
Cornell reached the NCAA Sweet Sixteen.
Foote posted impressive averages: 12.3 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.9 blocked shots per game.
His best game was against Bucknell University, where he scored 28 points and pulled down 18 rebounds.

The center finished in double figures in 26 of his NCAA games this season, and impressed the crowds in every arena in which he played.
He was named one of the top five players in the Ivy League, and was chosen for the second time in a row as the Defensive Player of the Year.
