Chuck Eidson, who tallied 12 points, 7 assists and 3 steals in Thursday’s game against Caja Laboral, remains in the top slot in the index and in steals, fifth place in assists and sixth in shooting percentage outside the arc.
Doron Perkins is ranked just after Eidson in steals, and Sofoklis Schortsanitis fell to seventh place of the most-fouled players.
The 81 – 70 victory over Caja Laboral put Maccabi at the top of 4 different team categories in the Euroleague.
The most important of these is Maccabi’s place at the top of index points, with an average of 91 per game.
In addition, Maccabi leads with averages of 81 points, 16 assists, and 11 steals per game. Maccabi is also ranked second in rebounds (after Real Madrid) with an average of 38 per game, and second in outside shooting percentages (after Efes Pilsen) with 37.4%, but is ranked last in free throw percentages, with only 63.2% shooting from the line.
Lior Eliyahu, who was outstanding against his former teammates in Thursday’s game, also made personal history when he scored his first-ever three point shot in Europe (it was his sixth three-pointer as a member of Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv).
Tal Burstein also achieved a personal record in that game when he sank his 100th three-pointer in Euroleague play.
