Yuval Naimy Joins Maccabi

Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv has reached an agreement with Israeli guard Yuval Naimy (28, 6’2”) for three seasons. Maccabi can loan him out for the 2013-14 season.

Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv has reached an agreement with Israeli guard Yuval Naimy (28, 6’2”) for three seasons. Maccabi can loan him out for the 2013-14 season.

Yuval Naimy: “I’m happy to join one of the greatest clubs in Europe. After a season in Russia I was focused all summer on signing with a Euroleague team, and Maccabi is the top of the Euroleague. Maybe it will happen already this season, and maybe next year, but it’s fun to reach a place where from the first moment they made it clear how much they want me. With G-d’s help it will be a good and successful season for everyone.”

Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv’s head coach David Blatt: “We are very happy to add Yuval Naimy to Maccabi. He is one of the most talented Israeli guards, who has shown how much he has developed and grown as a foreign player in the strong Russian League as well as on the Israeli National Team. The addition of Yuval offer us a lot of advantages – he is not just a familiar and experienced Israeli player, he is a player who is hungry for challenges and is ready to take on the responsibility that comes with playing for Maccabi. He also adds exceptional shooting from outside the arc and fantastic pick and roll ability. I’m looking forward to working with him.”
