In the coming days, Marcus Fizer will be examined by the surgeon who operated on his knee, Dr. Eger.
The forward, who returned to Israel on Sunday and will resume his place on the Maccabi team if he is found to be fit, will undergo treatments with the team’s physiotherapist, Rafi Virshuvski.
Today (Monday), Maccabi held its first practice following the victory Sunday night over Kiryat Ata and before the much-anticipated game against Hapoel Jerusalem at Malha Arena on Thursday.
“The operation on Marcus’ knee was successful; the problem is; the knee needs to be strengthened.
Right now, there’s little to no strength in the knee, and it can’t support much weight, particularly not that of Marcus himself.
In addition, I understand that he hasn’t done much in the last couple of months,” said Virshuvski to a reporter from the Sport 5 website.
“I estimate that within a month or a little more, Marcus will be off the disabled list,” added Virshuvski.
