Smiles on the Maccabi side after the win over Milano. “The bench provided energy”, said the coach. Simpson: “It’s an honor for me to play for a team like Maccabi”
Still not giving up. Maccabi’s win over Milano kept its Euroleague playoffs hopes alive, even if they’re still very slim. Maccabi led from the get go, moved the ball well with 25 assists and enjoyed from the return of Devin Smith, Joe Alexander and from a productive debut by Daimon Simpson.

Coach Ainars Bagatskis: "We prepared well and got some extra energy and extra rebounds from Diamon and Joe. That's what we were missing for a long time. Milano is an experienced team and almost got back in the game but we were patient and able to hold them off”.

Diamon Simpson: "it feels good to win. Personally, I was tired a couple of times and asked the coach to sub me but then got my wind back. Was happy I could help in my first game and bring some energy".

Gal Mekel: "Diamon is the type of player I love playing with. He gave us a lot of energy. We had some days off so felt fresh and that helped'.
