Maccabi Fox Tel Aviv is happy to announce the return of Guy Goodes who penned a one year deal as the first assistant coach for Neven Spahija.
Goodes (46), is a Maccabi diehard, a true professional who would work in synch with the head coach. Guy is considered as one of the best veterans in Maccabi with experience of 16 years with Maccabi under his belt as a player, assistant coach and as head coach.
Guy played for Maccabi between 1991-1999 where he demonstrated a rare shooting ability and a high basketball IQ, which helped him to make the next step in his basketball career which was coaching.
He joined Maccabi's coaching staff in the 2006/07 season as Neven Spahija assistant coach with whom he will gain great closure.Guy was also the assistant of Oded Katash and Zvika Sherf, he then completed an excellent campaign as the assistant of David Blatt (2011-2014) with the highest achievement of all was the 2014 EuroLeague title.

In the summer of 2014 Guy was promoted to head coach of Maccabi, where he won the domestic cup and reached the EuroLeague playoffs, he started the 2015/16 season as the head coach of Maccabi as well but was relieved of his duties in November 2015.
During his tenure in various positions with Maccabi, Guy has won 21 titles: 11 championships, 8 domestic cups, 1 Adriatic league championship and a EuroLeague championship.
