During the summer Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv was approached by numerous teams who requested to get Zoosman on loan. Maccabi held a few meetings with the player’s representatives, and coach Spahija and his staff held conversations with Yovel as well where it was decided that the U20 MVP will continue in Maccabi.
Yovel’s importance to Maccabi is immense, the club believes in his talent and abilities which is why Zoosman signed a long term deal with Maccabi. “I’m convinced that this is the right step for Yovel to continue and develop his career in the highest of levels which is where he belongs”, said Coach Spahija.
“As a coach I never had a doubt that Maccabi is the place for him” Coach Spahija added. “To continue and develop in the best way, patience and consistency are the key words. I have no doubt that he will continue and develop this year and that he will make additional progress this year”.
In his first season with Maccabi Zoosman averaged 13.7 MPG in 31 games in the Israeli super league, including 10 games where he played over 20 minutes. Yovel also debuted in the EuroLeague averaging 8MPG in 14 games.
