With the 2019/20 EuroLeague calendar published this past Friday, it's time to reveal the preseason tournaments in which Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv will participate. The first destination lies on the banks of the Wisla River, the main river that crosses Warsaw, Krakow and Gdansk. The yellows will arrive at the city of Wloclawek for the tournament that will be held between the 7th and the 8th of September.
In their first game in Poland the yellows will face Arka Gdynia that will play in next season's EuroCup; the following day will meet Maccabi with Anwil- the host of the tournament- that will play in next season's Basketball Champions League (FIBA). After ending their Polish tournament the yellows will head out for the other side of the old continent.
The second preseason tournament in which Maccabi will participate is the pro stars tournament in Angers, France (11-14 of September). The pro stars tournament will be played in a two-group stage – a blue group that will feature Maccabi, Cholet and Strasbourg where the second group- the red group- will feature Besiktas, Le-Mans and Metropolitans. On the 11th of September Maccabi will face Strasbourg (21:30) and the following day the squad of coach Sfairopoulos will face Cholet at 21:00 local.
The third destination will be Athens, Greece where the yellows will participate in the annual Pavlos Giannakopoulos memorial tournament. In its second year the tournament will feature some Europe's finest: Fenerbahce, Milan and Panathinaikos. The tournament will be played at the OAKA between the 21st and the 22nd of September.
