Returns to Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv for the first time since 1999 when he completed his 8th season as a player.
Arrived at Maccabi as a player in 1990 after four seasons with Hapoel Haifa where he started his career at the age of 15. Played for Maccabi until 1997. During that period he suffered two serious injuries which kept him out of action for long periods.
In the 1997/98 season he played with Caserta in the Serie A in Italy. Returned to Maccabi for one more season (1998/99). In eight seasons with Maccabi he won seven Israeli championships and three National Cups. Played in the 1991 FIBA Final Four in Paris. Scored 707 pts in European Cup games. Played for the National Team between 1991 & 1999.
In the 1999/00 season he played in the ACB league in Spain with Cantabria and the following season with Rosetto in Italy. Later played for Maccabi Raanana, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Maccabi Rishon Letsion.
In the 2004/05 season he became assistant coach in Rishon Letsion and in mid season replaced head coach Hanokh Mintz.. Last season he led Maccabi Rishon to third place in the Super League.
Goodes is also the assistant coach to Jakob Gino in the u.20 National Team.
