Aaron Lee Jackson was born in May 1986 in Connecticut, northeastern United States. He played at Duquesne College with our former player Shawn James and in 2009 began his European career in Antalya from the Turkish league. At the end of that regular season, he was brought in as a substitute for the injured Petteri Koponen in the ranks of virtus Bologna and helped the team with its playoff struggles. His ability handed him a two-year contract in the Bilbao of the Spanish League.

The guard played well in the strong Spanish league and helped lead Bilbao to a surprising sixth place finish and playoffs where the Basques overcame Real Madrid and were only stopped in the final against Barcelona. The following season they played in the Euroleague, passed Real Madrid and Malaga in the top-16 and were only stopped in the playoffs series (1:3) against the CSKA Moscow, which reached the final with then-assistant coach Giannis Sfairopoulos. Jackson led his team in points, Assists and steals and finished with the fifth overall efficiency ranking in the playoffs.

As early as June 2012, Arkon Jackson was signed for three years in CSKA. His Moscow acclimatization took time because the Russian club played with point guards such as Theo Papaloukas, Milos Teodosic, Jeremy Pargo and Nando de Colo. And yet, Jackson found his place as a player coming off the bench and contributes quite a bit.

Jackson was in a team that lost to Maccabi in the semifinals in Milan 2014, broke the record for steals in a Final Four game (7) in the semifinals against the 2015 Olympiacos, starred in the VTB final that year against Khimki, signed a two-year contract extension and in 2016 won the Euroleague with CSKA. In the season that followed, he played again in the European Final four, partnered in 34 Euroleague games and recorded 21.4 minutes, 7.6 points (47.7% from three) and 3.6 assists.

In the summer of 2017, Jackson signed a two-year contract with Beijing Ducks of the Chinese League. In April 2018, he made his Houston NBA debut and played with the Rockets in the playoffs. In July of that year, he returned to China and even recorded a rare triple-double in a league game against Shanghai Sharks (32 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists).

Jackson finished the 2018/19 season with 40 games and averaged 25 points per game (40.4% from three), 7.6 assists, 5.4 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 29.2 points in 32.9 minutes per evening. This season, he played 15 games in Zhejiang Lions uniform and provided 16 points, 10.1 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.5 steals.
