Maccabi Playtika Tel-Aviv kept its home record perfect tonight (Thursday) and did it impressively – with an 85:74 win over long-time rivals Panathinaikos. The victory improved the Yellows' Euroleague record to 4:1.
Lorenzo Brown (22 points, 9 assists) carried Maccabi through a very close first half that ended with a buzzer-beater three-pointer by Wade Baldwin and a 5-point Maccabi lead (49:44). Good defense pushed Oded Kattash's team to increase the lead in the second half and cruise quite comfortably to an important victory.
Another interesting week awaits Maccabi. On Sunday, the Yellows will host Hapoel Holon at Menora Mivtachim Arena, and on Thursday they will travel to Spain to meet Baskonia.
