A physical and versatile forward capable of playing both inside positions. He knows how to take his defender to the paint and also has a soft touch from outside. An excellent offensive rebounder. For the last two years he played excellently for Maccabi Haifa, and was named one of the top five players in the Israeli League last season, after posting averages of 17.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game during the regular season. In 2013-14 he also played with Haifa in the Eurocup, contributing 12.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
Ofoegbu was born in the United States, but he also holds Nigerian citizenship, since his parents immigrated to Texas from that country. In 2007 he played for Belgian club Gent, later going on to play in Mexico (where he won two championships), Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Argentine, and Venezuela, before eventually landing in Haifa. Last summer he played for Puerto Rican club Arecibo, and in October he signed with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
