{"id":24319,"date":"2003-05-14T12:00:00","date_gmt":"2003-05-14T12:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8080\/28-3-run-in-the-final-quarter\/"},"modified":"2026-02-16T14:21:41","modified_gmt":"2026-02-16T14:21:41","slug":"28-3-run-in-the-final-quarter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/maccabi.co.il\/en\/28-3-run-in-the-final-quarter\/","title":{"rendered":"28-3 run in the final quarter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A fifth win this season over Maccabi Givat Shmuel, 86-68 and 1-0 in the playoff semi final series.<\/p>\n<p> Givat Shmuel, without Charles Minlend and Oren Aharoni, had no illusions and Maccabi led 25-14 at the end of the first quarter and 45-34 at half time.<\/p>\n<p>  In the third Maccaabi players suffered from a blackout and scored only 7 pts to 17 for the visitors and the score got to 52-51. In the fourth we saw an incredible 28-3 run, inspired by Derrick Sharp who also scored  4 three pointers, which put the champions 80-54 up. Only then they relaxed and eventually won by 18 pts.<\/p>\n<p> MVP was Marcus Goree with 18 pts, 11 rbds, 4 blocked shots &#038; 2 steals.
