Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv will depart tomorrow (Wednesday) morning for Prague to take part for the ninth time in the Euroleague Final Four. This will be Macccabi\u2019s sixth F4 in the last seven seasons. A few hours after landing in Prague, the players will have their first practice session, still not at the SAZKA Arena but on Sparta Praha court. On Thursday evening Maccabi will try the court at the 18,000 seat arena. Earlier coach Pini Gershon and Anthony Parker will take part in a press conference which officially opens the Final Four events. The Maccabi players who attended this event before, know exactly what is it all about. Those who will make its for the first time, are very excited. For captain Derrick Sharp it will be his 6th F4, Anthony Parker & Tal Burstein will be playing in their fifth F4. Regev Fanan is on his fourth, Maceo Baston & Nikola Vujcic third, Yaniv Green & Assaf Dotan second. Five players are on their debut: Will Solomon, Jamie Arnold, Kirk Penney, Sharon Shason & Omri Casspi. Strength & Conditioning coach Avi Kowalski has taken part in all Maccabi\u2019s Final Fours so it will be his ninth time. Head Coach Pini Gershon is on his fifth, having won three. Assistant coach Dan Shamir is on his third and second assistant coach Elad Hasin on his second. Most people agree that Maccabi is stronger than its opponents in two points: the experience pf their coaches & players and the support of their fans estimated at 8,000 or more.
