Lior Eliyahu (21 points) and Yotam Halperin(12), the two Israelis that were picked in the last NBA draft, played well, but that wasn&#8217;t enough against the Euroleague champions. Coach Spahija opted to start with Bynum, Halperin, Buford, Eliyahu and Vujcic but Maccabi fell to 28-47 deficit. The change came at the second half with an aggressive play from Maccabi led by Halperin who transferred to point guard and knocked down some big shots. Maccabi came very close, 64-67, but CSKA looked very organized and didn&#8217;t drop its lead until the final buzzer. Maccabi will play tomorrow against Phoenix.
