mso-bidi-language: HE\">American center Elton Brown (2.06 meters, 25), who aided his former team in defeating Maccabi and taking the Israeli championship, will be joining former teammate Tre Simmons in the Maccabi uniform, at least until the end of the current season.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><BR><\/SPAN>Brown averaged 13.1 points in the Winner League, with 71 percent shooting from the field with only an average playing time of 16 minutes per game.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><BR><\/SPAN>He also averaged 5.4 rebounds and 4.5 fouls per game.<o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: HE\"><o:p><BR><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: HE\">Brown, who is a graduate of the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = \"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags\" \/><st1:place w:st=\"on\"><st1:PlaceType w:st=\"on\">University<\/st1:PlaceType> of <st1:PlaceName w:st=\"on\">Virginia<\/st1:PlaceName><\/st1:place>, began his professional career with Makedonikos in <st1:country-region w:st=\"on\"><st1:place w:st=\"on\">Greece<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region> and led the league in that country with 10.5 rebounds per game.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><BR><\/SPAN>He also played in the NBA Development League, posting excellent numbers while playing for <st1:State w:st=\"on\"><st1:place w:st=\"on\">Colorado<\/st1:place><\/st1:State>: 20.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per game.<o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: HE\"><o:p><BR><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: HE\">Brown, who resides in the <st1:country-region w:st=\"on\"><st1:place w:st=\"on\">U.S.<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region>, will arrive in <st1:country-region w:st=\"on\"><st1:place w:st=\"on\">Israel<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region> tomorrow (Wednesday) morning.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><BR><\/SPAN>Although he had the opportunity to start the season with the NBA D-League, Brown opted to wait for a better offer from <st1:place w:st=\"on\">Europe<\/st1:place>, or a call from the NBA.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><BR><\/SPAN>It was the first option that became reality.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><BR><\/SPAN>Since he has not played in <st1:place w:st=\"on\">Europe<\/st1:place> so far this season, he will be able to play in Thursday\u2019s Euroleague game against Cibona Zagreb, should Maccabi head coach Pini Gershon elect to send him in.<o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: HE\"><o:p><BR><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: HE\">Sharon Drucker will also be arriving in <st1:country-region w:st=\"on\"><st1:place w:st=\"on\">Israel<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region>, albeit a few hours earlier than Brown; he is expected to arrive tonight (Tuesday).<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><BR><\/SPAN>Tomorrow (Wednesday), the team will hold its final practice before Thursday\u2019s game; followed by a press conference with both Pini Gershon and Sharon Drucker.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><BR><\/SPAN>Elton Brown will also be introduced then.<o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif';
