mso-bidi-language: HE\">Maccabi head coach Pini Gershon opened Monday\u2019s game with Carlos Arroyo, Marcus Brown, Tre Simmons, Lior Eliyahu and Yaniv Green.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><br \/> <\/SPAN><o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: HE\"><o:p><br \/><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: HE\">Just as in the previous game against <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = \"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags\" \/><st1:place w:st=\"on\">Frankfurt<\/st1:place>, Maccabi opened strong in the first quarter, though without succeeding in opening a big lead.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><br \/> <\/SPAN>Simmons was hot from downtown, and Maccabi had a 13 \u2013 8 lead with 5 minutes gone in the period.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><br \/> <\/SPAN>A technical foul called on Brown helped keep the Germans in the game, but Maccabi was able to stay ahead, and the quarter ended with the Israelis leading, 21 \u2013 17.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><br \/> <\/SPAN>Green had an excellent quarter, especially on offense, until he and Eliyahu were replaced by Marcus Fizer and D\u2019or Fischer.<o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: HE\"><o:p><br \/><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: HE\">A 6 \u2013 2 run by the Germans helped them tie the score, then immediately take their first lead in the game, 26 \u2013 25, in the early minutes of the second quarter.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><br \/> <\/SPAN>Fischer was strong on defense, and Simmons played well on offense, both of which got Maccabi back on their feet and on the way to a 10 \u2013 3 run which took the score to 33 \u2013 29.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><br \/> <\/SPAN>Fischer scored two plus a foul shot, taking Maccabi to a 36 \u2013 32 lead with two and a half minutes left until halftime.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><br \/> <\/SPAN>Maccabi stayed strong on offense, and stopped <st1:place w:st=\"on\">Frankfurt<\/st1:place> with tough defense, taking their first double digit lead (43 \u2013 32) shortly before the buzzer.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><br \/> <\/SPAN>A three pointer by the Germans closed out the half, with Maccabi still leading, 45 \u2013 37.<o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-language: HE\">Maccabi continued playing well as the second half opened, and took a 56 \u2013 43 lead three minutes into the third quarter.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><br \/> <\/SPAN>The Israelis looked great on offense, with Arroyo leading the team on fast breaks.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><br \/> <\/SPAN>At the end of the quarter, the score stood at 63 \u2013 47.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><br \/> <\/SPAN>Fischer was a star on defense, with three blocked shots in the quarter.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><br \/> <\/SPAN>Arroyo scored two three-pointers in a row.<o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-language: HE\">As in the previous game, Maccabi was a little disorganized at the start of the final quarter, allowing the Germans to close the gap, 65 \u2013 <st1:time w:st=\"on\" Hour=\"14\" Minute=\"54\">54 after two and a half<\/st1:time> minutes of play.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><br \/> <\/SPAN>With Maccabi leading 65 \u2013 55, the game was called due to fighting between players on both teams (Tal Burstein for Maccabi).<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\"><br \/> <\/SPAN>Players started getting called for technicals and tempers flared, the referees lost control of the game, and Maccabi decided to call the game, with seven minutes remaining on the clock.<o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif';
