Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv is proud to announce the signing of American star Chuck Eidson (28, 2.01 meters) to a two year contract.
<\/SPAN>Eidson, a guard-forward who can play at any position from 1 through 4, is known as an intelligent team player who brings out the best in those who play next to him.
<\/SPAN>Eidson has a great personality both on and off the court and that, together with his professional ability, make him the dream of every basketball club.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>


<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Eidson\u2019s numbers and achievements last season with Lithuanian team Lietuvos Rytas were among the best in Europe<\/st1:place>.
<\/SPAN>Last year Eidson brought Lietuvos Rytas four titles: the Eurocup (formerly known as the ULEB Cup) and the championship of the Baltic League, in both of which he was voted MVP, as well as a double victory in Lithuania<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region> \u2013 both the country\u2019s cup and the Lithuanian League championship.
<\/SPAN>He was also voted the outstanding player in the Lithuanian All-star game.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>


<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

In the 2008\/09 season of the Eurocup, Eidson\u2019s numbers were 15.9 points per game (fifth place), 5.7 rebounds, 5.1 assists (first in the league), and 2.0 steals (third in the league).
<\/SPAN>He finished first in the index of outstanding players with an average index of 21.9.
<\/SPAN>He was the only player in the Eurocup to finish the season among the top ten for points, rebounds and assists.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>


<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

His top game of last season came in the finals of the Baltic championship, when Lietuvos Rytas destroyed their biggest rival, Zalgiris Kaunas 97 \u2013 74.
<\/SPAN>Eidson scored a career-high 41 points (16 for 20 from the field!), pulled down 8 rebounds and dished out 8 assists.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>


<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Eidson is a graduate of the University<\/st1:PlaceType> of South Carolina<\/st1:PlaceName><\/st1:place>.
<\/SPAN>He began his European career in the summer of 2004 with German team Giessen<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>, where he played for two years.
<\/SPAN>In 2005 he was chosen as the Player of the Year in Germany<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region> when he finished with averages of 19.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game.
<\/SPAN>During the 2006\/07 season he played for Strasbourg<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> in France<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region>, and for the last two years he has starred for Lietuvos Rytas.
<\/SPAN>In 2007\/08 he played in the Euroleague with Rytas, and his personal best in a Euroleague game \u2013 28 points \u2013 came in a game in Nokia Arena against none other than Maccabi Tel Aviv.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Eidson is married to Samantha, and they have twins.<\/SPAN>
