\u201cWe trapped the tall players and the paint was too open.\u201d
Chuck Eidson was injured in the hand during the game and was treated by Maccabi\u2019s medical staff after the final buzzer.<\/FONT>

They were deadly from three point range, and that\u2019s something we were worried about.
The big players scored more than the guards.
Two of their shooters didn\u2019t score up to their average, and that helped us in the second half.\u201d<\/FONT>

I trusted my players on defense,\u201d Gershon said of Maccabi\u2019s comeback in the second half.
\u201cWhen they were tired, they guarded well.
In the second half we defended against them much better; in the first half we allowed too many points.\u201d<\/FONT>

When Anderson drove to the inside, he didn\u2019t use the block, and instead Caja scored two three-pointers,\u201d said Gershon of Anderson, who fouled out of the game with a little over a minute remaining.
\u201cLampe played well, and so did Bluthenthal.
When we needed a scorer, Bluthenthal was on the court.\u201d<\/FONT>

The point spread can end up determining our ranking in the group.\u201d
About the ability of Lior Eliyahu, former Maccabi star who now plays for Caja Laboral, Gershon said, \u201cThat\u2019s Lior, and sometimes he\u2019s just unstoppable.\u201d<\/FONT>

I think we were good, but not good enough,\u201d said David Bluthenthal, <\/B>who came off the bench and scored 12 points (4 of 4 from three point range).<\/p>\n
It\u2019s still early in the season, but we\u2019re headed in the right direction.
I think we\u2019re playing at a high level.
We played well in the second half and we can play even better.\u201d<\/FONT>
