Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv held a celebratory press conference to welcome newcomer Milan Ma\u010dvan to the team.
In attendance were club chairman Shimon Mizrahi, head coach David Blatt, team captain Derrick Sharp, Ma\u010dvan, and his agent.
In accordance with Euroleague rules, Ma\u010dvan will be eligible to play in Thursday night\u2019s game against Asseco Prokom in Gdynia, Poland.<\/FONT>

Milan Ma\u010dvan<\/B> told the gathering, \u201cI\u2019m very excited because I\u2019m joining Maccabi, maybe the biggest club in the world. It\u2019s been one of my dreams, because I was a junior when they took the title in the Euroleague in 2004.
I\u2019m very excited to have the chance to work with the excellent players and great coach.
I must give my best to help the team.
We have a good chance for winning the Euroleague; right now the score is 8 \u2013 1.
We must continue like this in the Euroleague.
In Israel, we expect [to take] the title.\u201d<\/FONT>

David Blatt<\/B> noted, \u201cThis summer, when we set our goals for the team, one of the main things that we wanted to do was to realize a vision for Maccabi that was inclusive not only of the next game, or the next month, but of the years to come.
By signing one of the great young talents in Europe, even at this stage of the year, I think we\u2019ve lived up to that.\u201d<\/FONT>

\u201cMa\u010dvan is a great player with a lot of talent, but above and beyond that he\u2019s a special person and a good person.
If he were not the kind of young man that he is, we wouldn\u2019t have brought him in here, but because he is a player and a personality that suits the type of team that we\u2019ve built here, we\u2019re extremely happy to have him join our club at this time.\u201d<\/FONT>

\u201cWe are not the only club that wanted Milan Ma\u010dvan.
I\u2019m happy and proud to say that this young man, together with Zoran (Ma\u010dvan\u2019s agent) made the decision to come to our club, despite the fact that there were many other people who wanted him.\u201d<\/FONT>

As always, Derrick Sharp<\/B> took on the task of greeting the newcomer to the team, \u201cI want to welcome Milan Ma\u010dvan.
