Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv\u2019s newest Israeli player, Jewish-American immigrant Jon Scheyer<\/B>, completed the process of his aliyah (immigration to Israel) Tuesday after landing in Israel, and proudly displayed his new I.D. \u201cIt\u2019s a great honor to come to Israel, and a wonderful opportunity. I can\u2019t wait to show the coach what I can do, and to begin my life in Israel.\u201d<\/FONT> <\/P>

Scheyer will have his first practice with the team tomorrow (Wednesday). \u201cI\u2019m excited to meet my teammates. I think they\u2019ve built a good team with a lot experienced players. I\u2019m hoping to play with them a lot and to just work hard. Jordan Farmar is a great player, and I can\u2019t wait to work with him. We\u2019ll just have to take this season one day at a time and see what happens.\u201d<\/FONT><\/P>
