Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv\u2019s last puzzle piece is now in place. Point guard Demond Mallet arrived in Israel today (Thursday) with the goal of filling the space left by the departure of Jordan Farmar, who returned to the U.S. when the NBA lockout ended. The media was waiting for Mallet at the airport, and he talked to them about his feelings regarding joining Maccabi and his expectations for the remainder of the season. <\/FONT>

\u201cMaccabi\u2019s a great team, it\u2019s a historical team. They made the Top 16 and that just shows the type of team that they are. I think that I can be a key addition to making them go to the next round. Of course the expectations are going to be high, because of the success they\u2019ve had in previous years, and I accept the challenge. It\u2019s a challenge for me, but I do feel that I can definitely help Maccabi, and I\u2019m just happy to be here.\u201d<\/FONT> <\/P>
