\tBelgian team Charleroi approached Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv and requested that Demond Mallet, the player they had loaned to Maccabi earlier in the season, be released and allowed to return to Belgium in order to help them in their playoff bid there.<\/span><\/p>\n

\t <\/span><\/p>\n

\tJust as Charleroi was receptive to the idea of loaning Mallet to Maccabi when the Belgian team failed to qualify for the Euroleague Top 16, the management of Maccabi \u2013 in consultation with the professional staff \u2013 decided to respond favorably when requested by the Belgians to return the player. Mallet recently signed a two year extension to his contract with Charleroi.<\/span><\/p>\n
