Planinic, age 21, 2.11 meters, is a talented young center from Croatia. He plays a great post-up game and is a very physical player with a strong presence in the paint and is a strong runner despite his size. He also has a great shooting percentage. He is considered one of the most impressive young talents in Europe today, one with NBA potential.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium;\"> \tPlaninic is a Croatian who was born in Bosnia and who grew up in the Siroki system. Last season he was a key player for them, and this year he posted impressive averages of 15.7 points and 6.1 rebounds per game in the Adriatic League, where he shot 66% from the field and 85% from the foul line.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; text-align: center;\"> \t<iframe loading=\"lazy\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"330\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vxIgsLB8VpE\" width=\"425\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium;\"> \tAfter 15 games in the Adriatic League, he is ranked first in points and second in index ranking (20.4), third in shooting percentage from the field, seventh in rebounds (third in offensive rebounds), third in blocked shots and first in fouls drawn (6.6 per game).<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium;\"> \tLast summer, Planinic was very busy. He started at the Eurocup camp in Treviso, which gathers the top young players in Europe. At the end of the camp Planinic was named to the starting five of the tournament. From there he traveled to the NBA Summer League, where he played in three games for the New Orleans Hornets.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium;\"> \tThen Planinic played on the Croatian National Team in the qualifying rounds of the European Championship, which Croatia finished with a perfect 8-0 record.
