\tAlon Stein, 35, has joined Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv’s professional staff and will serve as the team’s second assistant coach.<\/p>\n
\tStein played in the club’s youth department and began his professional playing career at Hapoel Gilboa\/Galil under the guidance of none other than current Maccabi head coach, David Blatt. As his career went on, he also played in Germany, Switzerland, and Holland. During the 2010-11 season, Stein was brought to Maccabi Tel Aviv by Blatt and served as a practice player. For the last two years, Stein has been the coach of the Maccabi Tel Aviv youth department, working with the Under 16 and Under 19 teams.<\/p>\n

\tAlon Stein<\/span>: “I’m happy and excited to be joining Maccabi’s coaching staff. I can’t wait to start practices and to work together with Blatt, Goodes and all the rest of the staff. I’ll do everything I can to help the team succeed and reach its goals this season.”<\/p>\n \tHead coach David Blatt<\/span>: “I’m very happy that Alon is joining our staff. He has all of the necessary characteristics to be a coach at the highest levels one day. I really like his knowledge, his passion for basketball, and his personality and character.
