The children, who were quite excited to meet the players, received bags full of surprises from the club, including books and team scarves donated by Africa Israel Residences.\u00a0 Team mascot Donny the Dog came along to cheer up the kids with his antics; he was joined by the mascot of Domino\u2019s Pizza.<\/span><\/p>\n<p> \t<span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Team Manager Nikola Vuj?i? said of the visit: \u201cWe\u2019ve done something great for the kids here who need help; everything else is dwarfed in comparison. They give us a realistic perspective on life and on our problems, and I\u2019m happy that we were able to make them happy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p> \t<span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Head Coach David Blatt added: \u201cWe try to give back to the community and to do what we can. There\u2019s no comparison between what we\u2019re going through and what these children here go through every day.\u201d When asked about the team\u2019s loss the night before, Blatt responded, \u201cI\u2019m not going to talk about the game. I talk enough about basketball every day. Today we\u2019ve come to meet the special children here.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p> \t<span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Forward Guy Pnini summed things up: \u201cI got up this morning and came to Schneider feeling down and with no energy after last night\u2019s loss to Jerusalem. But it\u2019s really fun to come here every year and to continue the tradition, and to see life\u2019s true heroes. It just fills your heart.
