The event started with the traditional parade on Fifth Avenue, and Maccabi Tel Aviv was there, represented by Derrick Sharp and David Blu, who were joined by 45,000 marchers and tens of thousands of spectators. The festivities, which were attended by about 10,000 people, continued into the evening at Pier 94 and included performances by Israeli pop star Rita and by Rinat Gabay.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"> \t\t\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"direction: ltr; \"> \t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Maccabi Tel Aviv\u2019s booth at the event was crowded with visitors who participated in various shooting competitions with Sharp and Blu. \u201cI felt like I was back in Tel Aviv, with all the support there was here,\u201d said Blu in an interview with Becky Griffin on local Fox television station Channel 9. Sharp added, \u201cWe brought the Maccabi spirit \u2013 you must never lose.
