Peres was a true visionary and one of Israel&#8217;s great leaders that shaped the face of the nation. He was a key figure in the acceptence of Israeli clubs into the international sporting community. We had the rare pleasure of having a personal relationship with him, as he always rememberd to congatulate and rejoice with us and other Israeli sports figure in times of success.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"> \t\t\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"> \t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Club chairman, Shimon Mizrahi said: &#8220;I had the honor and the pleasure of knowing Shimon Peres on a personal level. He was the Ninth president of the state of Israel; A man of many talents and accomplishmetns; One of the true greats who will be rememberd as a cornerstone of Israel as a nation. He showed a lot of interest in sports and was the number 1 fan of any and all Israeli sports teams&#8221;.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"> \t\t\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"> \t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px;\">&#8220;He knew how to use sports as a tool to promote peace and understood the importance of sports figures as instruments of peace.
