{"id":500584,"date":"2017-06-22T12:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-06-22T09:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8080\/maccabi-brings-back-center-tyus\/"},"modified":"2017-06-22T12:00:00","modified_gmt":"2017-06-22T09:00:00","slug":"maccabi-brings-back-center-tyus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/maccabi.co.il\/en\/maccabi-brings-back-center-tyus\/","title":{"rendered":"Maccabi brings back center Tyus"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: justify;\"> \t<span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Maccabi Fox Tel Aviv is happy to announce the signing and the comeback of the human spring Alex Tyus to a <\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">two year<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"> deal.<\/p>\n<p> \tTyus (29, 2.03), is an active<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">center<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"> at both ends of the court who can finish efficiently around the rim, he is also known for his great timing when it comes down to blocking shots.<\/p>\n<p> \tIn his previous stint wearing the yellow and blue uniform, Alex was one off the team&#8217;s all great helping the club achieve its sixth European title while being named the month of April MVP after he averaged 13.5P 5.5R and 2B in the playoff series vs Milan. In his two years with<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Maccabi<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"> he has won domestically one championship and two cups and the EuroLeague championship.<\/p>\n<p> \tIn the summer of<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">2015<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"> Alex has left Israel and joined Anadolu Efes Istanbul where he averaged 5.9P and 3R in the EuroLeague. He then moved to Galatasaray where he averaged in 10P 5.2R 1.5B and a 14.3 PIR in the EuroLeague &#8211; career high numbers.
