The &#8220;yellows&#8221; continued their positive momentum, this time in front of the fans in yellow and blue, as Cole (24p &#038; 5a) and Thomas (17) shined.<\/p>\n<p> \tMaccabi&#8217;s head coach Neven Spahija said: &#8220;The game was closer than we wanted? I had a lot of games that were close in my career. Were we at ease? It wasn&#8217;t an easy game. We have players that are playing in this level for the first time, Baskonia gave us a hard time. At least\u00a0\u00a0 we played on defense and allowed them only 68 points, on offense we still have a lot of work to do.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p> \tCoach Spahija also addressed the fact that last week Pierre had a tremendous game and that this time it was Cole&#8217;s night: &#8220;It shows how much talent we have, but we need to play better basketball&#8221;. Next week Maccabi will face EuroLeague runner ups Olympiacos in Tel Aviv and then will head to Belgrade where they will play against Red Star. &#8220;If you are wearing yellow, you come to win&#8221; Spahija said. &#8220;This is our goals, just like every week&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p> \tThe game MVP Norris Cole said: &#8220;In the last two minutes we just wanted to be aggressive. They came back, we needed someone to make a play and I wanted to be the one who makes the play. And still it was a team effort, coach had a brilliant game plan and we managed to execute it, it was very important to get the win in our home.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p> \tDeShaun who scored 17 points added: &#8220;It was a great game. We&#8217;ve played aggressively and so did they, we kept our composure and got some convenient open looks, we also played great defense. We have to prepare one game at a time, focus on the details work hard in practice and fight.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p> \tMichael Roll summarized: &#8220;I&#8217;m happy that we got the win. This club is special and we feel that, like I said before we&#8217;ll address every game at its own time. We&#8217;ll come to practice and try to improve so that we can get more wins.
