However the second half was a whole different story as the tenacious yellow and blue train started firing on all cylinders enroute of an 87:84 win. Maccabi will face Panathinaikos this Saturday at 20:00 (local time).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p> \t\t<span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">\u201cIt\u2019s just the first preseason game\u201d, said Coach <strong>Neven Spahija<\/strong> who saw his team coming back from a 17 point deficit at half time. \u201cAfter the terrible first half, second quarter I would say, we played good basketball especially defense, we changed some stuff, playing with this roster I think we can be satisfied but like I said to the players in the locker room, we have to think that it\u2019s just one preseason game, humble victory think about the next opponent and work hard\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p> \t\t<span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Angelo Caloiaro<\/strong>, who finished the game with 8P,4R and 4S, added: \u201cI thought we played hard, it\u2019s obviously preseason and our main focus is to just get better, play hard and trying to execute what we\u2019ve been putting in practice and continue to grow and be ready to when the season start, I think we did a great first step\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p> \t\t<span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">\u201cIt\u2019s a great feeling to play with the new guys\u201d, said <strong>Deni Avdija<\/strong>. \u201cI think we played together and we had some tough moments in the game.
