The Russians imposed their will early in the game but Maccabi kept fighting back to stay close to the visitors who ended getting the win. Maccabi will travel today (Wednesday) to Montenegro where they will face Buducnost Voli Podgorica on Thursday.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> \t&#8220;First of all I want to congratulate CSKA for the win, I also want to give credit to our team for their effort and the basketball they showed&#8221;, said Coach Spahija after the 86:89 loss to CSKA. &#8220;Today was one step forward compared to the game against Panathinaikos,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">unfortunately,<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"> it was not enough to win. CSKA is an amazing team with such quality, it&#8217;s very difficult, and if you stop them from the outside they will score from the inside, 50-50 balls. They had the momentum when they made the shots in the second half and we miss the same shots and at the <\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">end<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"> the result was three points. We are still positive for the future and we will continue to build the team. The crowd was amazing and I&#8217;m so sorry that we lost the game but we&#8217;re going to give back to them for sure and I appreciate their support&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p> \t&#8220;We started the game slow and towards the end dug ourselves a hole because of the turnovers&#8221;, said Tarik Black. &#8220;If we played in the end<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">like<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"> we did in the first half I think it would have been a different result. We have confidence in ourselves regardless of the team we are playing against.
