\t\tWith a record of 1-4 Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv faced the EuroLeague reigning champs Real Madrid with the hopes of improving their record. The hosts managed to stay close to Los Blancos in the first quarter but a run sparked by Jaycee Carrol in the second quarter was enough to make it 23:41 lead at halftime. Madrid kept capitalizing until the very end enroute of a 66:87 win. Maccabi will look to get back into winning ways against Holon on Saturday.  <\/span><\/p>\n

\t\t“I would like to congratulate Real Madrid for an amazing job tonight”, Said Coach Neven Spahija<\/strong>. “They were the better team and deserved to win the game. About us, it is already the second time in a row in a EuroLeague game that we are not able to score. We are missing a lot of shots, even today we had one more extra player in the roster and we didn’t get out of that situation. The only problematic part of the game was in the second quarter- in Barcelona it was the third quarter, which means we have a lot of problems with consistency. As a coach I know the problem, we are playing a lot of games without main pieces and it costing us”. <\/p>\n

\t\t<\/span><\/p>\n

\t\tCoach Spahija added: “Last couple of games we played without our point guards and we used Michael Roll and DeAndre Kane and let them play a position the don’t play and now that you saw they did not have the right energy and right way to play basketball. As a coach I have been in this situation many times at the beginning of the season, even with this terrible start we have a long way to go. When we are complete I am sure we will play much better basketball, we are going to make open shots and simply, we are going to be better”.<\/span><\/p>\n

\t\t“We couldn’t score and they got away”, said Ramon Sessions<\/strong>. “We will stay together, I don’t think I am supposed to be a savior the players here are professionals. There’s no pressure and there are a lot of excellent players here. I’ve practiced a bit so I’m in a pretty good place. I’ve practiced and I’ve played basketball for all of my life. It was a tough game tonight, they outplayed us tonight”.<\/span><\/div>\n
