The hosts took control early on in the game and didn\u2019t allow Maccabi to get into their rhythm throughout the game. Coach Giannis Sfairopoulos\u2019 squad tried to fight till the end but ended up coming short as they lost 88:77 on the road, ending their Israeli Cup quest at the quarterfinals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p> \t\t<span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">\u201cToday we didn\u2019t perform as we wanted\u201d, said Coach <strong>Giannis\u00a0Sfairopoulos<\/strong>. \u201cWe didn\u2019t perform to our level it\u2019s obvious that we were not\u00a0 mentally ready to fight hard first of all and then to do all the tactic things that we planned for this game. We started the game really bad with a lot of turnovers, six as far I remember in the first period but I believe the second period was disaster they scored 31 points, it\u2019s clear that offensively we didn\u2019t have a clear idea of what to do, we didn\u2019t have good options and defensively we didn\u2019t play good\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p> \t\t<span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">\u201cIt\u2019s obvious more than anything that we lost all the small battles defensively and offensively\u201d, coach Sfairopoulos added. \u201cThe opponent showed that they wanted the game more than us and that really concerns me, I\u2019m responsible for this and I will do everything to find the reasons why we\u2019re not ready.
