\tAnd so it goes, after 20 rounds in the EuroLeague Maccabi\u2019s quest for the playoffs is alive and kicking after an impressive 84:75 home win over Panathinaikos. Coach Sfairopoulos\u2019 squad are now with a record of 9:11 in the standings and will now start preparing for their next game against Gilboa Galil on Saturday.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\t\u201cThis is the most important win so far\u201d, said Coach Sfairopoulos after the home win against Panathinaikos. \u201cIt\u2019s more important than the ones against CSKA and\u00a0Barcelona because the next game is always more difficult. We managed to erase the difference from the first game, I want to congratulate my players for their performance, it wasn\u2019t an easy game, Panathinaikos played for their last chance to stay in the top 8 for us it was important to be mentally ready and to take the pressure down and I think that for this\u00a0<\/span>reason<\/span> we didn\u2019t perform as we can, the most important thing, we had some great moments, moments that we\u00a0were not good but at the end of the day we controlled the game\u201d.<\/p>\n

\t\u201cWe played together\u201d, said Tarik Black. \u201cWe played our style of basketball and fought through it. It\u2019s been a good ride, we pray it continues for as long as possible we wanna get as many wins as possible, we\u2019ve turned this thing around, it started off really slow obviously but our percentages since we started getting wins has been really high and I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s been recognized as much. Tough schedule, tough games and we have to go fight for them all, obviously in the position that we\u2019re in and that\u2019s what we\u2019re gonna do\u201d.<\/p>\n

\t\u201cIt felt great\u201d, said Jake Cohen. \u201cIt always feels good when the ball goes in, had a couple of open looks got great passes from my teammates and shots went in. Every time we needed a basket Angelo got it for us just by\u00a0<\/span>pure<\/span> heart, he got us stops on the defensive end he deserves everything you can say about him tonight. I\u2019m really happy with how we played tonight and now we\u2019re just gonna focus on getting better for our next game\u201d.<\/span><\/div>\n
