The hosts exploded offensively in the first quarter but the crew in yellow and blue kept their composure in a great second quarter after which they never looked back as they controlled the tempo and the game <\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">enroute<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"> of a 71:76 away win. Maccabi <\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">are<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"> now with a record of 13:15 in the EuroLeague standings with two games left in the regular season and their EuroLeague playoff quest is very much alive.<\/p>\n<p> \t&#8220;Good defense was the key, especially on Shved&#8221;, said coach Giannis Sfairopoulos after the 71:76 away win over Khimki. &#8220;He scored 17 points but with low percentages. For sure both teams had chances to finish the game earlier, but<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">finally<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"> at the <\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">end<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"> we had clear minds and good decisions, we also got two offensive rebounds at the end which was important, and I think we deserved to win&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p> \t\u201cIt was a tough win, Khimki is a great team at home&#8221;, said the game MVP Johnny O&#8217;Bryant who had 16P and 11R. &#8220;We started slow but kept going and got back in it. The second unit came in, got the momentum and then we kept going&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p> \t&#8220;It was one we needed, absolutely, especially after the last two losses&#8221;, said Michael Roll who delivered an all-around performance of 17P, 4R &#038; 3A. &#8220;We came out to fight through it and play with energy. It\u2019s a big one. Our second unit came in and really sparked us.
