\tMaccabi Playtika Tel Aviv and Bonzie Colson put pen to paper on a new two-year contract, running through 2025. The fantastic 27-year-old Forward quickly found his place in the team both on and off the court in his first EuroLeague season. He became one of the most popular players in the team and an important part in Head Coach Oded Kattash’s rotation.<\/span><\/p>\n

\t“To me, Bonzie has had one of the most impressive rookie seasons I remember”, commented Coach Kattash, “He is immense for us. He brings lots of energies, is versatile and can play in different positions. I have no doubt that he will get even better as time goes. It’s definitely a quality signing. Moreover, we are keeping the team’s base. Everybody loves Bonzie”.<\/span><\/p>\n

\t“I am extremely excited, it’s a blessing to renew and extend my contract”, Said Bonzie Colson, “I’m excited to get to work. It’s been my first year in EuroLeague, I’m just trying to continue to work, continue to build and adapt, and hopefully put some banners in the arena. It’s definitely a very special club, if you’re not a part of it it’s tough to understand the love the fans give you every game”.<\/span><\/p>\n

\t“I am thrilled that Bonzie stays with us”, added Maccabi’s Sporting Director, Avi Even, “He entered our system in a smooth and natural way. Apart from his known capabilities on the court, he brings heart and soul to the game. He is always all-in, and that’s exactly the Maccabi DNA we are looking for”.<\/span><\/p>\n

\tIn his EuroLeague rookie season, Colson ranked sixth in the competition in steals and scored 10.7 points per game. The Notre Dame alum delivered 19 double-digit performances in the EuroLeague this season, including a 29-point showing against Panathinaikos. With his high energy and basketball IQ, Colson impacts the game in many ways that don’t necessarily show up in the box score.<\/span><\/p>\n
