The 56-year-old former guard, who won titles in both Italy and Greece and has served as GM at multiple European teams, will head the club&rsquo;s newly restructured professional team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p> \t<span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Coldebella most recently served as General Manager of Reggiana (Reggio Emilia) in the Italian League. Prior to that, he held similar roles at Caserta, Treviso, Varese, and UNICS Kazan, where he assembled a formidable roster that impressed in the EuroLeague before Russian clubs were suspended.<\/span><\/p>\n<p> \t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/CC20scarf20169.jpg\" style=\"font-size: 14px;\" class=\"wp-image-518862 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/maccabi.co.il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/CC20scarf20169.jpg 980w, https:\/\/maccabi.co.il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/CC20scarf20169-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/maccabi.co.il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/CC20scarf20169-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 980px) 100vw, 980px\" \/><\/p>\n<p> \t<span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">As a player, Coldebella was known as a tenacious and energetic guard who never backed down. He faced Maccabi on numerous occasions while playing for Virtus Bologna, AEK Athens, PAOK Thessaloniki, and Olimpia Milano.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p> \t<span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">His career includes winning three Italian League championships and a domestic cup title, a EuroLeague Final appearance with AEK, and a Greek Cup win with PAOK. After retiring, he spent two years as an assistant coach at Olimpia Milano.<\/span><\/p>\n<p> \t<span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Claudio Coldebella was born on June 25, 1968, in Castelfranco Veneto, northeastern Italy. He began his playing career with modest Italian clubs Mestre and Desio, before joining Virtus Bologna in 1989. That same year, he made his debut with the Italian national team, with whom he won a silver medal at EuroBasket 1997.
