Scottie Wilbekin scored 37 points in an evening to remember against Monaco, but as always, the Euroleague season doesn't give teams much time to rest. On Friday (Friday, 21:00 local, 2 pm ET), 48 hours after winning at home, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv will face another challenge - this time away vs. Olympiacos.
"They have players who can score a lot of points on a given day. It's a tough game and we have to be prepared", said Giannis Sfairopoulos when asked about the meeting with the Greek team he coached for four years. "We will do our best to arrive with full energy and come back home with the victory."
Wilbekin referred to his former teammate. "It will be nice to see Tyler Dorsey," said Maccabi's guard. "He is playing well this year and I hope we do a good job against him. When he is hot, he is able to score 30 points easily."
The head-to-head record between Maccabi and Olympiacos stands at 12:11 in favor of the yellows, who won four times in Greece and will hope to make it five on Friday.
