After four consecutive Euroleague losses, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv will face Fenerbahce in Turkey on Tuesday (19:45 local, 12:45 pm ET) and try to come back home with a win.
A victory will also mean the yellows will regain a positive 8:7 record in the competition two days before facing the European champions, Anadolu Efes, at Menora Mivtachim Arena.
"We are playing against an excellent opponent who improved recently," said Giannis Sfairopoulos before the game against Fener. "We're not in a good momentum, but we also keep in mind that it's a long season."
When asked about the positives he took from Maccabi's recent games, the Greek coach answered: "I loved the players' desire and their commitment to come back and win. They are not happy with our performances lately although some results were close".
Ante Zizic also referred to the upcoming battle in Istanbul. "It's just another tough game," said the Croatian center. "We all need to raise our level and do our best to get back on the winning track."
