After seven straight losses, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv hopes that the second round of the Euroleague will bring with it a new spirit and different results. On Wednesday (20:00 local, 1 pm ET), The Yellows will face Monaco away and try to end the negative streak.
This would be an exceptional milestone for the Israeli champs, marking their 1,000th game in European competitions since the club was founded.
Giannis Sfairopoulos decided to wave James Nunnally from the squad. When asked about it, he commented briefly: "I only think about what's best for the team, and I believe this decision will help us."
"This is a difficult time for us because we are losing games and not playing well," the Greek coach added. "We must react together - the players and me. We will keep fighting to get good results and play good basketball."
