The last meeting between Maccabi Playtika Tel-Aviv and CSKA Moscow ended only after a real thriller with a Russian win. On Thursday (21:05 Israel time, 2:05 pm ET), the Yellows will try to get small revenge when they host the Reds at Menora Mivtachim Arena.
"We must play as a unit," said Giannis Sfairopoulos ahead of the game. "CSKA has the quality to play great basketball, so we can't allow them to create easy baskets. We will try to be more efficient and avoid the ups and downs we experienced until now".
The Greek coach also revealed that Yiftach Ziv twisted his ankle against Galil Elyon earlier this week and might not play on Thursday.
Before the game, Pini Gershon and Zvika Sherf will be inducted into Maccabi's hall of fame in a special ceremony.
