Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv hosts Panathinaikos on Thursday in an attempt to stop their losing streak on three (9:05 PM Israel time, 2:05 PM ET). Oded Kattash and his men are 12-10 coming into the game, while the Greek adversaries are on fire lately and sit on a 14-8 record, winning 8 of their last 9 games.
The yellows received a boost earlier in the week with the return of Lorenzo Brown, who sat out three games due to back pain. Pao, on the other hand, will be without guards Kostas Sloukas and Luca Vildoza.
In their matchup in Athens in the first round, Maccabi prevailed to the tune of 86-81. The Israeli champs won 17 out of the previous 32 games between the teams since the creation of the EuroLeague in 2000. Maccabi has also won five straight home games against Panthinaikos.

Following three consecutive losses, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv showed resiliency and achieved an impressive victory. The Israeli champs dominated Panathinaikos en route to a 90-75 score that elevated them to a 13-10 record.
The players of Oded Kattash showcased great defensive effort, shared the ball and took control of the game in the final minutes of the first half. After the break, the yellows used its transition game to pull away, getting contribution from all 11 players who stepped on the court.
Maccabi was led by Wade Baldwin IV, who scored 22 points to go along with 8 assists. Three other players - Lorenzo Brown, Josh Nevo and Bonzie Colson - each contributed 14 points. The center even completed a double-double with 12 boards.
On Saturday night, the Maccabees will visit Ness Ziona in the Israeli league, with a double week in Spain on the horizon.
