Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv tasted defeat for the first time in this season's playoffs, losing 67-85 at Hapoel Tel Aviv's Drive-In arena on Saturday. As such, the finals series will go to a third and deciding game on Monday in Yad Eliyahu, in which a champions will be crowned.
It was a rough night for the yellows. A long delay at the start of the game due to flares that Hapoel fans lit, 7 foul calls against Maccabi in the game's first 3 minutes and some off plays certainly all had a hand in the teams' lack of rhythm. Maccabi fought hard to remain in the game, but the reds ran away with it in the final quarter.
Roman Sorkin (16 points) and Bonzie Colson (15) were bright spots for Oded Kattash, who will look to make adjustments and bounce back for one last game - that will hopefully end with a trophy.
