Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv will play on April 10th in their 39th Cup Final after beating Maccabi SK Rishon Letsion 111-87 in the semi final. Their opponents in the final will be Bnei Hasharon who beat Ironi Iskar-Strauss Nahariya 90-88 in overtime.
The Rishon players were in the game for the first half (53-49 for Maccabi) mainly through the three pointers of Antwan Hall & Malik Dixon. But in the third period Maccabi opened a gap (81-65) and increased it in the final period to win by 24 points and so even the scores with Rishon, who were the only Israeli team to beat them this season.
Maccabi had a great shooting night with 63% FG and 69% in 3 pointers (11-16). Rishon made 50% in 3 pointers and had a 37-30 advantage in rebounds mainly through Ervin Dudley (11 rbds).
The media elected Tal Burstein as MVP but the top player was Saras with 15 pts, 12 assists & 7 rbds.
