Pini Gershon will have very little to learn from the game played tonight in Ramat Hasharon ahead of the Euroleague Top 16 game on Thursday vs Climamio Bologna. But there is no doubt he was pleased with the form showed by Tal Burstein, playing 14 minutes in his first game after injury as well as the super form of Maceo Baston,
Will Solomon and Jamie Arnold were rested and so were the Maccabi players in defense in the first quarter won by the hosts 30-29. The second period was a different story with a tough defense allowing Ramat Hasharon only 9 points and at half time Maccabi heald a healthy lead 54-39.
The margin increased to 60-41. But then the players lost concentration and a series of turnovers enabled Ramat Hasharon to come back to 68-63 and at the end of the quarter 74-66 (Ramat Hasharon winning the third 27-20). In the final period Maccabi scored only 16 points but Ramat Hasharon only 11 and the final score 90-77.
