Maccabi Tel Aviv, without the injured Tal Burstein, played a great second half at Hertzliya and beat Bnei Hasharon 95-80 in the Israeli Superleague. Will Bynum, in a great shape, scored 21 points and passed 6 assists. Yaniv Green came from the bench to contribute 7 points, 5 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.
Maccabi TA leads the league with a 19-2 record, three wins more than Hapoel Jerusalem. Ironi Ashkelon stunned Dan Shamir’s team 111-89 at Jerusalem.
Lee Nilon scored 11 quick points to put Bnei Hasharon ahead by 9 points. Maccabi showed nervousness and only Bynum and Halperin kept her in the game, 49-44 to Bnei Hasharon at halftime.
In the second half Maccabi TA took complete control of the game with an aggressive defense and some fine shooting by Shason, Jeretin and Bynum, 95-80 in the end.
