Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv will face coach Zvika Sherf's Maccabi Rishon Lezion in the Israeli Cup semifinals, which will take place on 3 February 2014 at Nokia Arena. Hapoel Tel Aviv meets Hapoel Eilat in the second semifinal game. The final will be held on 6 February 2014.
Maccabi was represented at the drawing by general manager Eli Drikes, who said, "We got Rishon Lezion and Zvika, a team that made a change last week and is looking good. It's an ambitious semifinal. I hope we'll be good. It will be good and exciting, though a derby or Eilat would also have been exciting."
"At the end of the day, we are playing for the Cup, and not against Zvika. I hope we'll do what we need to in order to advance to the final. On the face of it, it looks like the best draw according to the rankings, but Rishon Lezion has renewed energy with their new coach."
