Maccabi Fox Tele Aviv were handed a tough loss at home – 60:75 to Bamberg. The Germans, who came into this game last in the Euroleague, control the game from the tip-off and sent Maccabi back to a negative record – 5:6.
Maccabi hit season lows in shooting from outside (6/20) and allowed the visitor to out-rebound them 31:26. Bamberg never relinquished its lead after the first quarter, and were up by 21 points during the third quarter.
Rami Hadar: "this is very disappointing for us. We lacked energy. Our execution level was low, all and all, it was a sub-par performance from us. We were lacking on every level on offense. I heard the fans and I certainly understand there. During a season there are changes in momentum and right now, we've hit a low. We have to find a way to get better".
Guy Pnini: "I have no explanation but it's clear our level of energy wasn't where it needs to be from the very start. Once you start this slow, you put yourself in a position of chasing the other team and that's very difficult to do. We have no choice but to come back to work tomorrow and try to get out of this period as a team".
