Maccabi Fox Tel Aviv suffered a home league loss, and no one saw it coming, not even in the beginning of the fourth quarter. Hapoel Gilboa/Galil stuck around and came back from a 16 point deficit to win 92:91, thanks to a buzzer beater by Sigres.
It was a game controlled by Maccabi from the get go, with a lead stretching from 6 to 16 points at the beginning of the fourth quarter, but the visitors refused to go away, and managed to get back in it, aided heavily by turnovers and missed free throws by Rami Hadar's players.
With one minute to go, 5 points by Goudelock (21) and Pnini (16) seemed to finally put the game out of reach but a turnover followed by two missed free throws by Gal Mekel gave Gilboa one last shot, and they took it.
Said Pnini: "we keep playing with fire instead of putting games away and this time we got burned. The players are responsible completely. I don't know where this over confidence is coming from but we have to be stronger mentally".
